ABOUT
Rosa is currently in her third year at the MSA (Manchester School of Architecture). She is part of the Praxis atelier which is exploring 'collaborative projects working towards making cities more inclusive', with specific regard to the inner city area of Hulme.
Rosa’s interest in design developed through an interest in public sector architecture. In volunteering for a series of community charities, she has experienced first hand the inappropriate arrangement of some civic buildings, such as hospitals and sheltered accommodation. Rosa believes “form should, without exception, follow function”. Her designs aim to respond aptly to the users’ requirements, with a particular interest in how a building might actively produce a healthy environment.
Rosa is part of Anon. Architects; a student-led architecture practice, that strive to understand the needs of the people and the value they bring to the design process. Anon aim to potentialise local knowledge and needs in a positive, engaging and inclusive manner.
