Site Analysis
Site analysis of Bonsall Street identified the key characteristics of this space. The data has then been used to guide my design proposals.

Greenery
Trees lie predominantly around the sites periphery, on its eastern edge. My future design could seek to maintain their position, or rehome them elsewhere on the site.
Wind
The site is most affected by westerly wind. I will seek to harness this power in my final outcomes.
Views
A series of residential and educational buildings look on to the site. The diagram indicates the primary view paths of the onlookers. My design will therefore be sensitive to this.
Bus Routes
The diagram depicts the bus routes that pass the Bonsall Street site. Buses move along the main road.
Circulation
The site is adjacent to the main A5103, passing under Hulme, with the main Stretford Road running above it. Below it runs a minor road, connecting the Birley Campus with MMU’s main All Saints campus. This diagram outlines the predominant users of each road and path.
