The drawing examines the series of influences surrounding places and spaces have had upon my design development. Initial design considerations were made after discussions with local Hulme residents and organisations; I identified these thematically on the map, categorising them as either educational, leisure, business or recreational.

 

Further to this, several buildings were particularly critical in the development process, such as St Philip’s C of E Primary School, the Birley Campus, and another proposal for an Anarchist Free School.

 

It is crucial that access to the site was preserved, and therefore public transportation routes have been identified and maintained.
